My name is Brooke Muraco and I’m very excited to be entering my sixth season as head coach of the Bethel Park Girls Volleyball team.
My passion for volleyball began around age 12 when I began playing club volleyball for Penn Highlands Volleyball Club. I was a four-year varsity starting setter and right side hitter at Southmoreland High School where I received all-conference and WPIAL awards all four years.
I am a 2010 graduate of Penn State Behrend. At Behrend, I was a four-year starting setter earning yearly first-team all conference awards, ECAC awards, and being named Behrend and AMCC player of the week numerous times throughout each season. My biggest accomplishment athletically at Behrend was being named inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020. I was also named the Behrend Female Athlete of the Year in 2010.
After my time at Behrend, I pursued coaching high school and club while subbing, working on my masters in Elementary Education, and looking for a full-time teaching job. I was the assistant at Connellsville High School (2011-2013), Penn Highlands Volleyball Club Head Coach and Coaching Supervisor (2011-2013), Varsity Co-Coach at James Monroe High School (2013), Head Varsity Coach of South Park High School (2016-2017), and P3R Volleyball Club Head Coach (2017-2018).
Outside of teaching and volleyball, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tony, and our two children Mia and Tripp.
I am looking forward to another successful season with the Lady Hawks.
